SAP Basis Consultant- Job Description
- SAP System Administration:
Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and Solution Manager. Ensure high availability and performance across SAP landscapes. - Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement strategies for SAP system architecture, scaling, and long-term system enhancements. Collaborate with IT and business leaders to align SAP services with organizational goals. - Performance Tuning & Optimization:
Lead efforts in performance monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting for SAP environments. Optimize system performance, perform capacity planning, and ensure optimal resource utilization. - Upgrades & Migrations:
Plan and execute SAP upgrades, migrations, and system patches. Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and without system downtime. - Disaster Recovery & Backup Management:
Design and manage disaster recovery plans for SAP systems, ensuring effective backup and restoration processes. Test recovery procedures regularly. - Security & Compliance:
Implement and monitor SAP system security. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. - Issue Resolution & Troubleshooting:
Provide advanced technical support for complex SAP Basis issues. Ensure timely resolution of critical incidents and system outages.
Requirements
- Experience:
1. 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration.
2. Extensive experience with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, HANA database management, and other SAP components. - Technical Expertise:
1.Proficient in SAP system installations, upgrades, and performance tuning.
2. In-depth knowledge of SAP Basis components including SAP HANA, NetWeaver, and Solution Manager.
3. Strong experience with databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server), operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Preferred Skills:
- SAP certification in Basis or HANA administration.
- Experience with SAP Fiori, SAP BW, and integration technologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.
