About the Role

At Invasystems, we’re looking for a Senior AVEVA PI Engineer to lead the design, implementation, integration, and optimization of AVEVA PI System (formerly OSIsoft PI) solutions. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in manufacturing, energy, utilities, or Oil & Gas (preferred) who can translate complex business requirements into scalable, reliable, and high-performing technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AVEVA PI System architecture, including PI Server, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Vision, Interfaces, and Connectors.
• Ensure the PI infrastructure is secure, scalable, highly available, and optimized for performance.
• Lead end-to-end PI System implementations, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Integrate PI System with industrial control systems such as PLC, DCS, and SCADA using PI Interfaces and Connectors.
• Develop and maintain AF hierarchies, Event Frames, calculations, analytics, and PI Vision dashboards.
• Ensure accurate, reliable, and real-time data collection, processing, and visualization.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and maintain data integrity.
• Support Industry 4.0 and digital transformation initiatives by enabling real-time operational intelligence.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and compliance-related records.
• Follow organizational standards, security practices, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 4–7 years of hands-on experience with the AVEVA PI System (OSIsoft PI).
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or VBScript.
• Experience working with industrial communication protocols such as OPC, MQTT, Modbus, and SQL databases.
• AVEVA (OSIsoft) PI certifications are highly preferred.
• Exposure to cloud-based PI deployments, especially Microsoft Azure, is an advantage.
• Experience with PI Integrators, including Integrator for Business Analytics or Cloud, is desirable.
